Well if you have his address I'd go round to his with a witness and the letter, talk to him nicely and then if he begins to get rowdy present the letter and tell him it's in the hands of the court now

You never know, talking to him nicely may work out especially if you mention the fact that there was a broken contract etc

Have a look at fanny's website

did u have a written quotation you can check the work done against?

Unfortunately not he seemed so nice, polite etc seemed to be a bit of a landy fan himself said how it was a good idea to get it all done etc it was just left as a verbal contract I guess you would say, I did send emails of what the foot wells etc were like prior to the work being carried out but he gave me a verbal quote, i did stress though how I wanted it all grinding out etc etc

I do know where he lives as I had to drive there a couple of times to drop things off.. I will be going to the CAB this week if he has not gotten back to me by tomorrow, could you link me to fanny's website?

did you pay him in pound notes?

if so he can say he has had nothing!

then how do you prove it?

I am having to go through all of my emails to try and find the ones sent, I do believe there was mention of the work I wanted done!

see if theres that and see if his reply to it said he agreed, I take it there was a final receipt too with a breakdown of work ?

Labour and parts etc

Unfortunately I did, my mother handed him the money and family were there at the time when he dropped the vehicle off.. I also have a draw out slip for an hour or so before he came to pick the vehicle up for most of the funds.

I have not been provided with a receipt for work carried out this is something else I am trying to get!

I doubt I have much chance now though he has the money he wanted :(

could pop in nicely and ask for one with a full breakdown so you can put it in the service history book and see if he says yes ?

then you can start legal proceedings
