depending on dates, starts to get busy with shows shortly that eat up weekends... once we have a date I should be able to confirm or back out.

That was one of my thoughts .. Whilst a lot of us have some good knowledge, there are always areas where we could do with practising or just doing things in a safe manner .. and have others pass over a critical eye at what we're doing ..

I have no worries with many aspects of recovery, but I haven't used a swing shackle much, so want to try this at some point.

No worries, if there aren't many learners then we'll maybe have a trial but definitely a damn good play in the mud and ****e!! Only trouble is the more there are, the less the cost .. and me being a Yorkshireman I'm all up for reducing what I pay out .. !

Would like to get involved in this, always something to learn and knowledge to pass on, like the idea of the trial bit should be fun :D

This sounds like a fantastic idea and perfect for a newbie like me! Camping and Land Rovers for a weekend :clap2:...any dates suggested yet? Soz if Ive missed that bit!

As a relative novice I'd be interested in this, depending on the date.

Paul D, as I live in Robin Hoods Bay & I presume it is Owen's place you are thinking of, do you want me to do some running around speaking to B&B owners etc.

Yes but you have to get out of the bag. And walk across muddy fields to the showers and toilets. And if you get wet you never dry out

It is indeed, went there a few years ago and loved it.

But your local help would be most helpful .. and appreciated!!

Cheers .. ;)

Can you find a B&B next to the camp site please :D:D:D

Then we can watch the tough campers suffer from our bedroom windows :p:p:p

OK, looked closer at dates and currently looking at Saturdays 19th or 26th October for the recovery meeting, and obviously the next day for the laning/wake up .. ;)

Just waiting for confirmation that the place will a) be open b) accept us!!

Please don't take these dates as set in stone yet, they're still provisional but hopefully better (read warmer) than November .. ;)

19th I will be in Sweden, 26ty possibly leaving for Australia ... Haha

Well, there's two campsites. The nearest has seasonal restrictions on it (thanks National Park) & they may be closed in November. The other has static vans on it as well as tents but no b&b's within viewing distance. Lots of b&b's in the village but not cheap. Having seen the potential dates I can see if anyone will do a discount price for the weekend. There used to be a bit of camping up at the off road centre but not sure if they do that still.
19th I can do but 26th flying to Kos for a week dinghy sailing.

No they don't do camping at the centre, but the farm next to it does. Just waiting an email ..

Hopefully the weekends beginning 19th or 26th October for camping, the offroad just for the Saturdays, waiting for email with availability and deposit costs etc.
