I can give lessons on how to get someone else to go first when stuff looks difficult. Then they get stuck not you :p:D:D:D:D

.. or scrape the sides of their Disco all the way .. including removing a perfectly good side indicator lens .. the bulb sticks out a lot now though!

Sounds a great idea Paul, will be up for helping out depending on work commitments at the time, have had training at estimating loads of winch / rope/strap in different scenario's due to my job

Not got a clue yet when I'm gonna arrange it .. probably before October .. ish ... ;)

I would be very interested tho no winch yet. Would you consider waiting till spring?

You will still learn by watching/using others winches and be ready when you get yours, on a safety note if you have wire rope please use a winch blanket/sail if synthetic rope not so important but safety zones should be observed

Exactly. Get one person stuck, watch what is done to recover while someone explains what's happening and why, then maybe get each person to try a different scenario as leader .. but not thought it through fully or properly yet, just trying to use my old 'trainer' knowledge and apply it.

Safety will be paramount ... as it needs to be in these situations ... which we can all forget sometimes!

What do we wear for this. My gear at the weekend was most unsuitable for paddling in bogs.

I have wellies but they usually stick in the mud and get left behind just getting the horses in from the field. I usually use short boots but I expect you lot will want something deeper to get stuck in.

Dunno yet Sue .. if I can get the place I want you might need waders or a bikini!

Seriously, I wear shorts mostly and normal walking boots .. no-one will need to swim or wade ... you don't necessarily need to be stuck to learn how to get un-stuck .. it's just funnier and more photogenic if you are ;)

Hmm, Zip said he went in a bog up to his chest when he got out of Neils landy on the lane we got stuck on last weekend

There would be nothing photogenic about me in a bikini :p

Daughter has a dry suit with wellies on the bottom, waterproof to 40 metres, do you think that would make for good piccies :D

The only bog I intend to be in is those I clean at work .. or mend when the little blighters break 'em .. ;)

I think others should be the judge of who looks OK in a bikini, you obviously see yourself differently .. ;)

Well, yeah, your daughter would probably take good pictures in anything .. ;)

LOL didn't know there were any blind LZ members. Found a lane for you last night, described on trailwise as "a very scary lane". I will send it to you when I remember where it was
