Big Bore shocks to keep the 110 stable when all the extra weight is added

Many people forget to remove these when fitting TF shocks, which results in early failure.

Must be flush top and bottom like below. You can either drill out the 4 spot welds or get a chisel in a forced them off

New HD bottom spring retainers where used and I used x4 jubilee clips to keep them seated in the top

Gywn Lewis HD turrets are the best around imo went for standard height. They allow you to change shocks without removing the spring which is a massive bonus!

Not many pics for the sub install but the Alpine unit is a direct fit for the back of the cubby, direct as in its the exact same size. Good tip is to photocopy the bottom of the sub, tape it on to the cubby and drill! Perfect holes everytime! Though you must also drill holes in the cubby to run the wiring for the sub. It comes with a small external amp which can be mounted anywhere. I chose to put mine in the MUD sliding cubby box locker.

Thanks buddy. How's the ride on the road with the new suspension? Firmer than standard?

Considerably better. They are TF +2 Big bores with TF 'Medium Load' springs which raise it up by around 2" however when the cage/bumper is on that will drop to around 1.5"

In corners there is very little body roll, almost feels like I've got ARBs fitted but I don't. Only thing that is a little uncomfortable is the shocks are quite hard, so bumps and such are quite felt though that is down to the 110 not being at full weight! The more that's added the more the ride should improve. It certainly got better after the spare tyre, NAS Step and boot lid where fitted.

That's good to know. Sweet.

Indeed. The amount of FB and forums posts I've read over the years bashing TF for poor quality parts because they fitted them wrong is crazy! My only gripe with them is their paint is utterly terrible, the paint its totally missing from the springs now, not even been a year!

Ahh that is disappointing about the paint. How's the paint on the shocks holding up?

Yeah a bit, I was meant to spray them with PlastiDip before fitting but totally forgot! Did that on my 90 and the paint lasted until I sold it.

The shocks are holding up much better, few touches of paint flake but not much at all.

I'll remember to do that, good idea. I have a spare can of black.

Few updates!

Fitted myself a snorkel, mainly for the piece of mind and went for the best sealed route I could that also lets me remove it in the future.

First step! Had the lovely fellas at MC Auto Centre weld a flange onto my MOD snorkel so I can fit it directly to my current 3" induction kit which is sealed right to the airbox, not exactly pretty but it does the job!

Actually looks pretty good! Though I've ordered a Safari style head, not a fan of the mushroom

Sealed to the intake, silicone and jubilee clip

Also means when the time comes - Roll cage and twin southdowns - I can easily remove it without damage to the wing etc...

Fitted the brackets in on the A Pillar, not too worried about the holes here as I plan on getting the Equipe cable runs in the future for the light bars/beacons

Also did some "pre work" fitting parking sensors and a reversing camera! Yes I am I post tart :p

Perfect sized grommet for the reverse camera! :D

And fitted! You'd never know its there unless you look hard enough!

I know the Raptor is a bit chipped the bumper needs respraying, HVLP gun doesnt give the best results...

Take off from the reverse light, boring but still lol

All wired in and ready to go! Blue is me raised fuel tank breather, yellow RCA feed for the cam, thin red next to it is a perm live for the cam should I choose to just have it always on, rest is the parking sensors.

Havnt fitted my double din dash yet so the cam is useless until I do, but will be helpful! Also got a nice switch for the parking sensors so I can turn them off when off road or when they drive me insane!

Got Mud Monsters coming up Sunday so even getting a bit of off roading in!!

Overall the 110 is running well, turbo drain oil leak is fixed (well good enough), steering has less play after adjustment but I do now have a bit of a noise coming from the steering column, I'm thinking the UJ in there is failing. Kind of crunchy, unhappy noise
