Had a damn long week trying to fix the 110 and get it read for the MOT. None of this has been easy! Im shattered, half happy half pi ssed off.

Fitted! A tad difficult due to the weight of the bloody things! All new stainless bolts used throughout

Also the steel TF Tranny guard I got for £50 arrived! Should keep the underside safe when I beach the 110

Typical Terrafirma quality, it doesnt fit, off by quite a lot! Luckily have some quality stepped drill bits and a Makita so drilled through no problems. As you can see both sides where off by quite a bit!

With help from a trolley jack got it fitted!

Rear diff is still buggered (even though I really tried to fix it!) so I'm having Megasquirt build me an 'Ultimate' pegged casing with Ashcroft ATB center. Shouldn't be able to break that!!

Also did a full service with all oils changed. For some reason my main oil filter was NIGHTMARE to remove! Took me almost an hour and the centrifugal filter is now making a rattle/gurgle noise even though used genuine filters and the proper oil (Comma Xtech 5w/30, semi synth).

Changed my headlights over as one was cracked. Also put some rivnuts in behind the surround to mount Perspex light guards as the new headlights are glass!

All in prep for the MOT on Thursday! First one with the 110. Can you believe I've already had it for a year!!:eek::D:D

Time goes quick, I've had mine over a year now and barely used it, mostly due to dreaded rust!

Cracking job with the work though, been following this for a while. Great build bud :) I dread to think how much you've spent on it, all quality there though! Probably not worth thinking about as you clearly enjoy it and that's all that matters!

Keep up the good work :)

Cheers dude! Appreciate it.

Ermmm I do have an excel spreadsheet with a list of everything ive bought and the price. So I could find out but ive left the Total blank  :D:D

How bad is the rust?

Xcess4x4 pegged diff with Ashcroft ATB center is finished and ready to be collected tomorrow!! Quite excited!

Cheers dude! Appreciate it.

Oh nice! Yeah probably a good idea leaving that blank, would restrict you wanting to spend more on it! Not sure if thats a good or bad idea haha. I should do that as well to be honest, I have receipts for everything that I could have a receipt for so I could total it all up. Only paid 400 quid for the entire car lol

Rust is mostly gone now, but all the usual areas that get rust on a disco, had rust! Was worth the effort though, mostly rust free apart from the sills now and they are not that bad lol

Just notice you are in South London/North Kent which is my area as well

Great thread mate. I started a spreadsheet when I bought my 90 but since I started doing the chassis I haven't dared to fill it in either dread to think how much I've been spending on it recently  may get round to it in future I've kept every reciept.

Yep! Ive an enourmous folder full of receipts! Scary really haha

Xcesa4x4/Ash ATB is in!! Just waiting on some proper EP90 oil!

Got a fair bit done over the past few days, mainly sorting my out!

Replaced the rear drive flange bolts with allen/socket heads, makes life so much easier!

As the rear wheels no longer have to come off to change flanges/shafts/diffs! Much better :D:D

Little thing but again makes life a bit easier, riv nut and a bolt into the rear tub to hang me disklok off. No more rolling around the back!

Also made some custom speaker boxes to house my Infinity 50.9 components, best speakers for the money, got them on sale at £69.99! Used rivnuts for wood in the bottom of the speaker boxes, which are bolted into the wheel arch. Means I can remove them easily. While mounted they arnt wired in yet, waiting on an amp my mate has or buying one. Which will be fitted behind the seats.

Tweeters mounted in the C pillar behind the seatbelts as I didnt like the look of the sliver haha. Not the neatest but the LR material isnt the easiest to work with. Eventually the headlining etc will be alcantara so can be done neatly then

:confused::confused::confused: I think my transfer box may well be on its way out :(:(:(

Got quite a loud noise coming from what seems like the TX box area, sounds like transmission wind up, only really happens on over run but it is getting louder...

:(:(

Think I've narrowed down the noise to the rear output bearing on the TX, doesnt look like itll be too hard to change so bearing ordered!

MOT was yesterday, passed with a few issues. (EGR Blank & Decat)
- Stub axle seal is leaking down to a scored stub axle, Bearmach kit ordered to replace
- Front nearside damper leaking - Damn poor less than 4k miles on it and its failing... Frogsisland where brilliant though replacement en route. That said now looking to change the dampers for something higher quality.

Nice thing was apparently my 110 "scared the crap" out of the guys in the workshop, they where not expecting such power :D

ref seats i bought a set of copy ones for 350 i will have to look thru my ebay if your interested

BB6 Sports Seats though I personally would avoid them, no crash ratings, no safety records etc....

Appreciate the info lads. I’ve just got hold of a pair of heated RX8 seats so hopefully over the winter gonna ignore my rust issues and fit them instead :eek:

Nice one, well done for getting it sorted to pass.
Would have loved to see the look on the guys face when he put his foot down.
Wish I could afford a td5 like yours lol.
