True! Plus if the are isolated from the main beam they are aux and not subject to MOT etc...

Thats pretty much how its wired in now, I wanted to see if it was viable/sane to wire the fogs into the same switch but on a separate circuit.

So Safety Devices themselves are a no go, busy for the whole year plus most of next apparently.

So choices are -

CSK - SD Cage - £2985.00 inc VAT
CSK - CSK Cage - £2485 inc VAT
Foleys - SD Cage - £2988 inc VAT
Gigglepin - SD Cage ~£5k :eek::eek:

I like Chris at CSK and he does good work, Gigglepin is out for sure, Foleys don't know much of them, any experiences?

Worth the extra £500 for the SD cage?

Got a few minor bits done, mainly as my bloody wheel arch as starting to fall off! It's in bad shape and ideally I need new ones *sigh*

Though for the time being I've removed the shi tty awful screws that have been forced in and replaced them with some brass rivnuts, luckily there was no sign of corrosion under the arch

As you can see the arch has seen better days

Replaced with stainless socket heads, looks much nicer. Though I may blue them in the future, still undecided on that

Paints seen better days n all! Caught that arch going into the garage the other day :confused:

Thing is if I replace the arches as standard they will be black, not sure if I'll be happy with that look! Though if I get them painted (I can get them done pro for a very reasonable price) they will look too nice in comparison to the rest of the car o_Oo_O:rolleyes::rolleyes: I'll work that out when the time comes....

Currently run out of socket heads so the rest of the archs will have to wait.

Also fitted some new headlights! Free from a friend, much brighter and nice white light! Maybe I'll be able to see :oops: :D:D

20170619_175249_zps4bgj3mml.jpg

Lucky I did as well as the headlight surround had corroded into the screws and the heads had rotted away...

I have got some HID's that could be fitted but I don't think I'll bother, also not certain it's legal/MOT passable to retro HID's?

Got some X-Trousers on the way as well, hopefully improve my door closing just a little bit.. Current ones are pretty shot.

Had a brilliant weekend out on the Salisbury Plains! The 110 did brilliantly with zero faults bar a cracked headlight, that I JUST fitted!

Not many other breakages either, a Disco blew a diff and the other Disco blew the HG on the way home but thats it.

Very deep water (same as above) so we attached a safety line to my 110 just in case, it was needed.

No smoke no poke!

looked an awesome trip ,

Flushed the chassis by jamming the hose in any hole it would fit and running it till clear water came out. I think most of the muck out...

Also gave it a quick wax, using some "Waterless wax spray" works well, easy to apply and gives a good shine.

Also Rain-Xd all the glass!

Todays magic! Fitted and adjusted X-Trouser

Look it closes!! :D

Same cant be said for the pass side :( it closes but needs considerably more force. Adjusted it 6 ways from Sunday and still the same...

Also found this :(

Looks repairable though, welding mate said he could do it if needed
