Looks like aftermarket Ali coolant rad.

Pre EGR your Powerbox should be a ‘DA4419’.
Not that model.

On another note had a hand primed filter housing that cracked so got a replacement for normal housing. On the old one there was a pipe that went from multi plug to inlet manifold however on the new there isn't?

It might be to do with power box but I am isolating it out of the system and going back standard in which case there is nothing connect vacuum pipe to?

I have connected up the plugs from original system so assume this is correct? See 3rd photo?

The pipe went to the MAP sensor which is attached to the filter housing. Presumably the sensor is still on your old filter housing.
Edit. I have also seen a power box with a vacuum pipe. Look at RAVE for details of the MAP sensor.

Has anyone ever rebuilt the turbo charger at all? Bearings have seen better days not sure if can get components for them or best just to get another unit?

I think even if you refurb the bearings and so forth it will need balancing so one off the bay probably cheaper, if of unknown quality.

You sure the bearings are shot? They are never tight when the unit is cold.

There is a lot of play on the fans you can move them side to side easily, thick carbon build up inside, car has done 185k+ miles, so could do with a revamp. What do you think?

Have cleaned up as much as can just think while it is all apart.

Price it up and compare. If parts are cheap enough and it’s something you would like to do give it a try.
Or for few quid more get 2nd hand to avoid bangs then rebuild original unit as a spare.

+1 with data, it'll carry a guarantee also.
Some play is acceptable but not if the impeller Is touching the casing and any binding is a no no.

Brill thanks guys.

On another note on the engine block (see image) there is a small pipe protruding from the block, I am sure there was another one further up the block but can't find it on old head and block etc.

Should there be another one and what are they for just lining up the head?

Ta.
