No. And I have often said to people that when there was an electric vehicle that could tow my 3500kg cattle trailer anywhere in the UK, I would buy one!
not going to happen anytime soon! :D

I do laugh at the somewhat optimistic figures of distance/charge for these things. We frequently have to recover them - one owner a few weeks back was bitterly complaining that she should have managed the 65 miles back home on one charge quite easily, and couldn't believe that it had run out after 22 miles. The four adults inside, the canoe on the roof, and the number of hills on the route might have had a bearing.....

The one locally owned leccy car has done more miles on the back of my recovery truck that it has under its own steam! Not least coz of the shortage of places that will actually work on it...and the number of trained mechanics that actually can!!

Often have a bit of a laugh about it with the other show peeps.

Visions of going over Dartmoor with an artic full of batteries following close behind! :D

The Tesla will achieve the quoted 220 mile range (or 288 miles in economy mode)
I went to Anglesey in it to test it, a round trip of exactly 220 miles.
If you set the destination in the sat nav it will advise you when you need to alter your driving in order to make it. This happened in the way back, l set off on a 110 mile trip with 112 miles range, but it was dark and l wasn't going to sit at 55mph all the way.
Part way through the journey there was a warning to slow down and l chose to ignore it, soon after that the car switched to "economy" mode (reduced power no aircon etc) but still maintained a speed of "70mph Officer"

When l arrived home there was ll miles left plus a reserve.
