Doesn't matter what you have spent. It's only worth what somebody is prepared to pay.

If you're still doing 200 mile drives without sorting it out, then it's getting more fecked every time !!

nope not driving it, that was the one time.
Had it looked at by the specialist today. He said it’s a crank case ventilation valve, in the inlet manifold. Which I will look into fixing or selling to a guy willing to fix.

Quick update on this, garage stated that they cannot find a PCV valve for this, as it’s not available anywhere.
And apparently it’s an LPG issue causing the misfiring which they are not able to touch. Conflicting and confusing!

I have been running on petrol still misfiring but not sure if the tank is off.
Unless your tank solenoid, enginebay solenoid and lpg injector (s) have failed then LPG isn't causing your problems.
LPG 'could' have caused HG and/or valve problems which are still in place, but that root cause isn't relevent to diagnosis and repair. In my opinion

The LPG expert says the same and trying to explain to the garage who are saying take it to the LPG mechanic, need a solution.

Advice needed:
Mechanic inspection has led to believe 3 coils are misfiring.
They have suggested I replace the 3 coils and the spark plugs
LPG mechanic advises PCV valve, mechanic says everything points to the coil pack.
Should I change the PCV valve too?
The spark plugs were done in March, should I replace them too?
The misfire was not causing the oil level to be low, so I may have to do all three changes here - the PCV must be causing the oil to burn.
Trying to save costs.

  1. Take spark plugs out and put picture of the electrodes on here. Might give a clue if they need replacing.
  2. PCV Vales are from £35 to £70. Plenty of online guides how to change it yourself (try the technical archive !! )
  3. Coils will be most expensive. Did mechanic specify which three, or is he guessing that three are bad ?

He specified the three.
Hopefully this will sort it out. Makes me wonder if the others will go soon too.

And maybe find a mechanic that at the very least has an interest in finding your fault and fixing g your car. If he said it's x3 coils why did you not have him replace them? Pcv can be found on the bay if your hard pressed to get it else where.

Did the above repairs with the said mechanic. Took the car for a test drive and was spitting oil from the exhaust and loads of white smoke causing an obstacle for others on the road.
They must have fitted the pcv valve incorrectly! Or something else? Just a headache honestly!
