Was out the other evening and noticed that I could not read the digital clock or find out where the fag lighter was when it went dark. (How tiresome you may say) Never noticed this before as do not go out after dark; vampires you know.

How does the clock come out? Do I just pull at it and hope? Is there a bulb in there?

I assume that the fag lighter just unscrews in the best British Leyland fashion. Aaah the memories!!!!!

Hey up mate, I've got a Disco, where abouts is the 'digital clock' and 'fag lighter' in mine, can't seem to find em! What are they for?? and do I need em??

Just place a thin knife/screwdriver at the side of the clock pushing it towards the dash and it should pop out easily (it's not held in very well

) and yes there is a small bulb in there. If the bulb hasn't blown chances are the LCD display is knackered.

I popped mine out today with a 2P piece

There's a bulb and holder on the passenger side that illuminates it (disco1) you have to get a bulb and holder as it doesn't come out (or at least mine wouldn't) just twist the holder and it pulls out the clock/printed cicuit

pull the blank out under the clock or the switch unit for cruise control if you got it from under clock and there is a little metal spring pin thaat needs unhooking then you caan get your fingers behind clock and push it out , bulb is a one piece job complete with holder , DLS sell em on ebay , about £3 i think , they just twist (carefully) out of the back of the clock.
dunno bugger all about yer fag lighter ...
