it will do just had a look at picture of intermediate gear ,the gear nearest rear of box is high gear its ****ed ,input runs on middle gear
fairly unlikely as input gear bearings are still intact, looking at picture of main t/box more likely intermediate bearings failed unless debris from blown center diff gearsif I can interject?
Million dollar Q, James - whats the likelyhood of the main gearbox being damaged?
you could of wedged it in place using the digger if you had'nt sold it

only bronze in box is the high/low selector or diff gear thrust washers
Colours rightRedirect Notice there are 4 of these in diff
I cannot believe Pikey not knowing the difference. Wait till the scrap man hears
tightening nut too far and crushing spacer too tight over loads bearings and would have no freeplay ,what are diff bearings like and intermediate bearingsFFS I int happy. cleaned Transfer box up this morning. and removed old 200tdi handbrake assembly, Swapped speedo gizmo, and carried it over to the disco ready to start refitting. And Suddenly realised that the F**king input shaft oilseal was missing  tried to remove the one from the crap Transfer box and mangled it up :frusty: So I still int got the thing refitted..
However I did remove the sump plate and take out the intermediate gear cluster.
It looks like some moron over tightened the collapsible shim and allowed too much endfloat into the intermediate gear cluster.
