Astounded that he didnt report it. Got to agree on disqualification. Would also have hoped for action against Mr Ford, including something for his , not very well disguised, one finger salute and solo pleasurer actions
If you ever come across something like folks REPORT it. Don't get out your vehicle, just phone the police. You might get lucky and they might turn up, Especially, if you have evidence nicely packaged for them.*
* As you may all have guessed , I have a serious downer on civpol at the moment, for not wanting to do any actual investigating!

I spent most of today looking at 1 to 2 empty lanes to the left wondering if the f*cker in front would ever have the decency to move over. Maybe I should go right up their arse until they can see my eyes in the mirror but frankly I don't like the risk. Instead I see speed cameras. WTF are they going to do to increase flow?
Never know with learners now allowed to be taught on motorways driving might, just might somehow improve with better lane discipline
Failing that a quick nudge , “ he slowed down ur honour and I did swerve at least 3 x times before I just knocked on his bumper

The problem is you are more likely to come off worse, should he slam on the brakes. Note I say you, not the vehicle, as in you will be blamed for being too close. This is why I like having the dashcam switched on for every journey. It makes me take a breath and move over to the empty lane, rather than getting wound up and risk sitting too close trying give them the idea. It also means , should they cause an incident I will be more than happy to be a witness for the other party, with footage to support.
If they stopped giving driving licences out in lucky bags, this could be resolved

Learners are allowed on dual carriageways, so there is no excuse, when they get their full licence, not to know lane discipline. It's not just new drivers though. It's twonktards who think they are the best drivers in the world who are the most dangerous. Never trust anyone who says " I'm a very good driver". Self praise is no praise at allNever know with learners now allowed to be taught on motorways driving might, just might somehow improve with better lane discipline

I didn't have that luxury. I passed my test , was duty driver that night. Didnt drive again until I landed in Germany and had to learn damn quickly the difference between a 3series LR on the A27 and a souped up police car (with steering wheel on wrong side) , playing by autobahn rules.
How I must've scared those in the passenger seat because I know in the years to come, having brand new drivers, drive me around, scared the hell out of me

I agree the lane was open at 40 but the guy says that it was closed two miles back?
I have been overtaken many times, mainly on M77 by guys driving on a closed lane and that annoys me just as much as the guys on the video

I'm not quite sure how to put this without it coming across wrong. This is the issue with forums sometimes. It was closed two miles before, it was not closed at that point, as he states it was a 40mph limit in all lanes.
For arguments sake let's say you are driving along and a big red cross shows on the gantry, above one of the lanes and you have to merge with other traffic , as does everyone else in that lane. So you end up crawling along for a couple of miles , meaning you're doing stop start for let's say, twenty minutes. You can no longer read the gantry you just passed and can't yet see the gantry ahead, you have no idea if the variable speed limit has changed, or if the closed lane has reopened, but you can see other vehicles ahead starting to use the lane that was closed. As it takes time for snarled traffic to get going again, once a lane is reopened, you are still crawling along,, becoming annoyed at people who you think are queue jumping, in a closed lane. Whereas, I have not been embroiled in that lane closure and am quite legally trundling along, within the displayed speed limit, in the lane you think is closed because two miles and twenty minutes ago , it was closed when you passed it. However, you decide because it was closed the last time you could see the gantry then that is what it is and you don't even consider for a second it may have changed.
Doesn't really work does it?

P.s Gantries are set at approx 800m apart , which may help with visualisation of the many variables, due to the RR approaching from behind the Kia.

Actually it is mainly pensioners or taxi drivers. They seem to get in a lane and stick there. Maybe in the past they were taught there was a 50mph lane for trucks, a cruising lane and a fast lane?
The fix is simple. Allow overtaking both sides. Almost all cars come with wing mirrors both sides these days so there is no excuse not to.
U think, don’t mean that sarcasticly either, , lol , have seen many drivers ranging from young to old, unless of course a survey has been done of who hogs the lanes the most
Must admit , didn’t take long getting useto passing cars either side when I lived in the states
Still, Think we often see many undertaking here in the uk already, lol , M25 and wacky races comes to mind , always know the drivers who are late for the airport
Is bloody annoying when some just hog outer lanes so if ur in lane 1 u can’t legally pass them on the inside , I don’t because there’s so many cameras around so end up overtaking and coming all the way back over again , see some lorries getting really upset though and might as well park on there bumpers

Why did other drivers in front of the Kia not go out into outer lane
We are hellish bad at moving into the inner lanes far too early. We should definitely be using all available lanes and then zipping at the blockage. We just dont do that and I have no idea why. In Europe they seem to use all lanes

Schrodinger's motorway lanes... In between 2 gantry's the lane is both possibly closed and not allowed to be driven in, and possibly re-opened and available to use...

Thought that was only if there’s traffic on the right hand side that’s moving slower than u,
but if I’m in lane 1 and there’s a single car on a right hand side of me thats driving at a lower speed of 70mph I always thought I wasn’t allowed to undertake them ???

The R R driver wants to learn where his indicator stalk is and how to use it.press down and it will indicate to the' left then when the middle lane allows ,you can move the feck out of the third lane, then someone may overtake him and he would have to let the overtaker in front of him if the outside lane is obstructed.thatsvthe problem no lane discipline. It's all a ****ing contest.
So with the Ford & the Kia driving deliberately side by side to obstruct lanes 2 & 3 & the first lane solid nose to tail going slower than the other two how would that work?
The actual problem is that the gantry signs changed to indicate all lanes back in use - albeit with a speed limit - but the ****wit in the Kia hadn't noticed & thinks people are just going past in order to push into the queue further ahead of him & he's going to stop them.
