Brim to brim checks or the prone to exaggeration dash computer?I have a L322 4.4 MY 2012 - I absolutely love it however, it's not been without a few gremlins - oil cooler leak, air con compressor failure DAB failure. It returns about 32 Mpg which is pretty good in my book of uneconomical cars

My display is about 20% over egging it.. brim to brim i get about 25mpg
I think you can change the % but my diag says there's no valid ccf
It's called progress, the P38 fuel computation is reasonably accurate with no need for offsets, I wonder why they can no longer produce an accurate fuel computer?plus 1 on mine in not able to change the % when using diagnostics ,alas only have knowledge about the D4 being able to change the offset
Because it was never designed to represent actual fuel usageIt's called progress, the P38 fuel computation is reasonably accurate with no need for offsets, I wonder why they can no longer produce an accurate fuel computer?
If the feature is there, it was designed to be there and so should provide accurate information. If it could be done in the 80's why not on the more modern stuff?Because it was never designed to represent actual fuel usage

It's all about marketing, when Johnny goes down the pub, he can boast that his over size, overweight, over complicated truck with it's massive engine is more economical than Fred's Ford Feckarse.progress!
people dont want to know how much fuel they're using just top it up when the light comes on!!! if you work out a value based on lots of bunkum.. then people can feel warm and fuzzy
I don't drive trucks. I prefer Land RoversIt's all about marketing, when Johnny goes down the pub, he can boast that his over size, overweight, over complicated truck with it's massive engine is more economical than Fred's Ford Feckarse.
I don't expect miracles and i know other 'suv' get similar milage with smaller engines, but I'm still sure mine should do better than it does, though it doesn't smoke and there's no leak.. maybe the tyres are taking a bigger chunk than you might thinkIt's all about marketing, when Johnny goes down the pub, he can boast that his over size, overweight, over complicated truck with it's massive engine is more economical than Fred's Ford Feckarse.
