A stud/wire finder from Screwfix, yellow and black, can't remember the make. Stanley maybe, ironically!
Never easy to use, unlike my other old one that looks like a small, black electric iron. Sadly in the other country.
Worked sort of for a bit, didn't touch it for a year.
Got it out, shoved a batt in it, it wouldn't even turn on. And they are so feckin expensive. Never replaced it.

Same here, nearly 2inches of water in the garden and surrounding fields. I've a submersible pump in the manifold tank for the septic tank. Percolation area can't cope with this amount of rain so needs a helping hand into the ditch.

Heavy rains can be a real problem. Here, the area and fields are very clayey. Fields on other side of lane are higher than the lane/houses and we see a mass of water running off the fields onto the lane. Luckily the houses have good drainage underneath passing through to the rear garden onto the copse & fields behind. A neighbours house sits lower than chezv8250...they were flooded out some years back yet we have no rivers within a 1 mile radius! Water, it's an amazing thing...

l bought a hammer from a pound shop once, it was a make that l thought l recognised but the first time l swung it in anger the head flew off and went right over the roof of our bungalow.

I never found it.

Every time l used it, the thing was a battle to get it going, with copious amounts of carburettor teat squeezing and messing about.

l eventually gave up and bought a Honda. Starts second pull even after six months sat in the garage over winter, now had it eighteen years and no issues at all, oil change every year is all it needs.

Tecumseh went bust, thankfully. Bloody awful engines! Honda every time for me thank you.

A DeWalt 24V SDS drill.... principally the batteries, which are utter sh*te IMHO - hard to tell if the actual drill is anygood or not, given the extremely poor battery "performance"

Bought a Halfords 1/2” drive socket set about 20 years ago. Ratchet failed y’day changing hub drive flanges on the Defender. My local Halfords replaced it under warranty this morning no questions asked. Great service.
