Wolf wheels

Hello

Recently purchased a td5 defender came with thick steel wheels, have done a bit of research and they would appear to be the wolf wheels. Are these quite rare, in demand or popular choice for hard core off roaders? I only ask as i may be upgrading the wheels soon and insterested to hear what knowledge people have of them?

Not particularly rare no. They're a good strong wheel known for robustness though the downside to that you could say is weight.

Being 6.5" wide they allow for fitment of a wide range of tyres both traditional (e.g. 7.50R16) and profile (e.g. 235/85R16) and are available in tubed and tubeless varieties to suit tyre choice.

I think they look great, best steel wheels going in my opinion. I'm not a fan of aftermarket options such as modulars so that's why I have the 'Wolfs' on my car, in my case in tubeless flavour fitted with BFG ATs.

How about 22" pimpified spinner rims with Lo-Pro Goodie G90's, this will guarantee that you ain't got the best of anything!

+1, you can buy them new still so there is no issue with them becoming rare from that perspective.

There is a picture on one of the forums of someone with a Wolf wheel who stove into what looked like the side of a rock, its amazing, the tyre is all pushed in and the stone pushed behind the wheel rim.. Scary stuff but amazingly there isn't a mark on the Wolf.

Thanks for the replys guys, good to learn a bit about them..im located in Dorset for the ones asking they maybe interested should I advertise them. Have 5 of them with BFG A/T's tubless. Didn't reslise they're that strong re-assuring for off roaders!
Ha spinners not sure they'll be quite in keeping with an iconic motor vehicle!
