Wiring in Durite gauges

Firstly, let me say I am absolutely clueless about auto electrics. So, now we know where we stand going forward :)

I have bought some Raptor Engineering stuff and have gone for new Durite gauges. Typically the back of the gauges are as the photo. Question is, what do I have to do to get the wiring loom pictured to match up with the wires on the gauges or vice versa?

Can I just ask why your going into the loom. Why not run a positive feed in series and link the earth the the body, then for the lights come back in from the positive to each gauge and run a wire to either the dash lights or light switch, in case you can always run a fuse on the positive feed to the gauges.

Sorry, can you put that into English please? You did read my opening line to this thread didn't you? :)
 
Thanks Litch, had a good read through. So how did you get the feed to each gauge for their lights?

I just put a connector onto each of the fly-leads and then put them into multi-way bullet connectors, from there I ran a single +VE & -VE to the relevant connector that fed the old back-lights.
