I bought the below wingtop cable guard ‘plates’ from Will at https://www.landroverdefendersecurity.com

What a hefty bit of kit - it must be about 5mm thick. It looks good and so easy to fit. Secured that pesky little hole in about 8 minutes, nice and easy. The plate bolts from underneath so you cannot remove it from outside of the engine bay. It came next day too so well chuffed.

No connection other than a happy customer. Will be going back for some more stuff :)

What can you do through that hole? Looking st mine you would be hard pressed to reach anything of use, lots of stuff in the way on the inner wings

Mine is 200tdi

Every little helps :) We all talk about a layered approach...

Can’t get to mine from underneath unless you take a bit of the underbody protection off. Also can’t easily get to it through the front grill as I have a sodding great lightbar welded in the way :)

I'm getting one of these for mine since the tdci bulkhead uses the bonnet cable that splits and goes through wing well easy to nick if don't.
How much did that one cost you?
I was looking at the lockable one
For you guys saying they can get in through the grill I used a peice of metal conduit to stop that covers the cable up to the latch so they can't grab it. Screwed if it ever breaks though I'll have made in too secure :D

With the one I have (pictured), the threads are attached to the plate. So you just remove existing plastic cover, pop this into the existing holes and washer/bolt it from inside the wing. It can’t be undone from outside

As long as yoh use rivets yeah otherwise it just unbolts!
I was thinking rivnuts then stainless security bolts. Got millions of those m6 hexes with the pin in the middle from work they'd make a nice job. Be able to get in if I ever have to break into it myself if cable snaps or somet

It is a good idea, although a similar result can be achieved by replacing the self tapping screws on the original plastic cover with M4 stainless steel bolts, washers and Nyloc nuts.
