Hi all,

I was looking at the june issue of LRO in the silverline 4x4 tyre section and I was wondering if anyone knew it the 31x11.50x16 Mudzilla's fitted to 16x7 Gunmetal modulars would fit onto a standard 110 HCPU?

thanks all

They cartainly should fit. If you have 7.50s or 235 85s and then go to this size, your gearing could alter. This would mean you are running at highers revs for the same speed as before (more noise and increased fuel consumption) It could also affect your speedo too. Best to ring Silverline and have a chat like Eurocracy said. Make sure the wheels you are buying are rated to the max load capacity of your 110 too.

what would i do to the speedo?

As Harry says, because the tyres are smaller than the usual 235/85's or 7.50s, then your speedo will think the car is going faster than it really is.

If you're on those wheels and tyres now then the difference with the Mudzillas would probably only be around 2-3%. You might be able to live with it.

You can change the speedo gearing by changing a speedo worm gear within the transfer box. You don't do anything to the speedo itself, I believe.
