Why white?

Is it just me or am I right is saying.

Why would you spend the best part of £30k+ & choose white as the colour of your brand new Freelander / Discovery 4 / Range Rover.

Just goes to show the kind of people that are buying them.
What the F**K are they thinking.:doh:
 
To be honest there is a prety poor choise of colours available. Gray, light gray dark gray, metallic gray, back, light black, dark black and a few dull shades of other colours.
Get some bright colours out there.
 
Probably the same as the people who bought white Defenders and Disco 1&2s :D

Its easier to make them look dirty :D

Its nowhere near as bad as the idiots who buy a new Beetle or Mini and think 'Hmmmm Eggshell, what a superb colour' :crazy:

I spend alot of time on the road in town, and a fair amount next to the road broken down but thats an occupational hazzard of being a bus driver, but i digress. Around here so far I've seen a PINK beetle (new shape), a lime green BMW 0.5 (i believe they reused the "mini" name) and a PINK freelander2 :confused:

haircut anyone?
 
I wondered why anyone would have ever chosen white when i bought my d1, but, it was cheap and had the right kit on so meh.

I'll eventually get a load of stickers to make it not-white.
 
I actually like the new Disco 4 and Range Rover in white, I've seen a Fiat 500 in pink :eek: that's a terrible make and a ****e colour, not a good combo :suspicious:
 
Car magazines tell you to buy white, black or silver cars as you get more for them when selling them. These colours seem to be the trend. Hopefully as the trend changes they will start to buy coloured cars like red and blue. LR do sell these colours but often the blue is so dark it's nearly black.

I like red and blue Freelanders. But blue is betterer than red. :)
 
It's amazing how BMW / Audi drivers pull into the middle lane and get out of your way when you come up behind them in a white Rangie.
 
I like white, particularly the very bright, as opposed to creamish white some manufacturers use. Sure it shows the dirt, but so does black, but I remember having a White Cortina 1600e and when it was polished it looked the mut's nuts.

I think the Evoque, for example, looks a much better car in white than in red. I'm not sure about Defenders, as most of them seem to blinged up road cruiser types which only ever have to cope with tesco's car park.
But I would take White before Black or Silver any time and it's a shame that it's become the new wannabee colour.

beuty is in the eye of the beholder. Colour is a personal thing. Get over it.

I think the RR Evoque, Disco 3/4 and the RR look great in white. Not a colour that suits the RR classic though.
 
Years ago when you bought a new car, white was the ****e / cheapest option, and you had to pay extra for metalics and certain colours, now white is the in colour, very chavvy in my opinion, but i wonder if because it has now become so popular, is the garages charging extra to have a white bugger
 
The Fuji white currently available on the Freelander 2 / D4 doesn't cost more. It's non metallic. The Metallic colours cost around £550 to £600 extra depending on the vehicle. Extra cost dun't apply to higher spec models.

I likes blue ones I does. :)
