had timing cover of because of oil leak and also noticed worn bottom tensioner guide so replaced while it was in pieces timing all perfect no leaks starts 1st time but there is an irratating whirring noise that increases with the revs tried running with all belts removed still same even tried different crank pulley still the same has anybody else had this problem could it be the new tensioner guide needs time to bed in

nothing else i can think of its like a rubbing / whirring noise as if something is out of balance the more you increase revs faster the noise gets so i guess if not centralised will be out of balance and rubbing binding on something looks like another strip down

Check on Rave, think to don't have to take the oil pump off if it's just the front cover/oil seal leaking. They share the same gasket but I'm sure Rave give's you where to cut the gasket to leave the pump in place.:)

They are across the River Dee, and I wouldn't turn my back on you :p:D:D You been out for Father's Day?:)

You would be super safe with me matey. No, kids and grandkids have been, got some good stuff. Bottle of JD Honey and a bottle of normal JD so a happy little bunny.
