i used left over rubber trim around the inner arch, but soon gets removed by mud off road. better used on the arch itself. round over the arch edge with a grinder...

Done the arches a couple of days ago. I started to take photo's as promised, and the camera batteries died after a short period. I know its a ****ing lousy excuse, but it was ****ing down with rain aswell, and the only shelter we had, was under my opened garage door.
Also fitted the lift kit. The whole process, is a doddle really. You just hold the plastic arches in place, mark around the inside, and cut with a suitable tool. Once the metal is cut away, screw the plastic arch in place.
I cut the bare minimum off mine, and it doesn't fowl at all.

Finished job. Taken today........

where did you guy,s buy the arches from going to get a set next week,is it 50mm or 75mm ones .

My arches are 50mm, but the mud flicks up from the tyre edge, where they don't quite cover. Depending on tyre width, you might do well to get 75mm.

i have 10 inch wheels with -50 offset, probably the widest track you could get for a land rover off the shelf. with 12.5 tyres i do get a fair amount of mud flying about, but i didnt want to over arch it, to limit the risk of them getting ripped off in a gulley.

10x15 i will be going for prob with 33 1250 15 on them so 50mm wide will prob do,need to shift my bfgs first to free up some wonga for new boots lol.

I have 10"x15" with 33x12.5.15's on them. I have +75mm arches and perhaps they are a little over arched.

Wiltshire, I thought yours was on 35s already...?
can any please tell me if there is enough alloy on the out side of the rear door once cut to bend over the gap or does it need to be done from the inside out like in the pictures.
also as a complete novice with the most basic of tools would any one recommend me giving it a go and how much are new doors if i **** up.

There will be enough alloy skin to bend over the gap. You cut around 40 mm into the door, but the gap is only around 20 mm.
It's not a hard job, just don't **** up. Power tools increase the **** up ratio, so avoid them if you're a bit of a novice!
