What's the one thing you would change about the design of a Defender?

thought of some more things - id change......

a roof ladder that doesn't obscure the number plate.

a turning circle that means you can get out of sainsburys car park without waiting for a complete gap in traffic because I can't turn just using my side of the road.

air con that isnt positioned by your knees- so that they get frost bite ( along with your right arm) whilst the rest of your body and everyone in the back roasts.

having factory fitted speakers in the back so that Im not deafened so the kids can hear their CDs in the back.

having the hazzard warning switch in an easy place that you dont have to look to find it.

being able to lock the car without a tour round the outside because its too far to reach across to lock the doors from the inside.

thats it so far... still thinking of more

ps - Storm- you like the full stops ?

Wish they wasn't so thirsty all the time...

I know what ya mean. I try and stick small amounts of fuel in mine on a weekly basis to get the tank to full rather than slinging £90 in in one hit. I only use mine every other week so I can generally get mine from empty to full in about 4-6 weeks without noticing a big expense.

I do it when getting out.

Me too. The first time I took it out, I arrived at my destination and got hooked up. I couldn't get myself loose and ended up climbing in backwards in a most unnatural way. I've got used to it now and it doesn't happen so much anymore, but have to think about it every time I get out.

All of the above and one small item.
Decent build quality!!
They've been building them long enough. You'd have thought they would have got it right by now.
