I actually spoke about it for several days on this forum, 8 speed versus 5 speed.

Do you have any more gotcha comments that I can prove wrong, because we are on page 33 of people trying that and no one has been successful even once, but have a go at it.

yes and your rr doesnt have the same gearbox as the one with the higher ratio, its stronger than yours for a reason

I checked and yes the ZF8 gearbox is stronger than the ZF5 gearbox.

This is due to the power output of the engine, and has nothing to do with the differential ratio.

As my gearbox will still be connected to its current engine, this is a non-issue.
