Changed my gearbox fluid today and filter. Oil was dreadful. No pieces, no debris. However the magnet was filled with snot. No mental. Any ideas ??
If there's no mental then it's probably got the flu
I'm sure the answer will be forthcoming, possible condensation. Did you pour a bit of oil on a piece of kitchen paper, it'll give you a better idea of the oil colour.Possible deterioration of the oil
IMO it's just very fine metal particles from the wear on the gears.

I think that @backinblack I probably correct.Interestingly soon as took the pan off. The magnet started releasing a grey material. Definitely no pieces. Obviously possible wear... however it looked more like a liquid then metal
it is metal powder, though only to be expected in a box with oil that colourChanged my gearbox fluid today and filter. Oil was dreadful. No pieces, no debris. However the magnet was filled with snot. No mental. Any ideas ??
