What have you done to your Landie today.

ordered some led bulbs for my light bar and headlights and sidelights want to start getting the power useage down before I have issues during winter so might aswell get it sorted now while I don't need them
 
Started making panels for the back of the 110. Plan on carpeting them. One side will have a light and power socket installed and it will give me somewhere to mount the rear speakers. It was panelled when I bought it but it wasn't very good so I took it all out.

Spent most of today measuring, cutting, offering up, cutting some more, offering up, cutting some more......

Now one side is done the other side will be easy peasy as I can use the one I did today as a template for the other side.

put a couple more bolts through the temporary rock slider brackets and tidied the boot to fit some more tools in to go work on a hilux surf and micra and managed to get a service job for a suki vitara aswell now. my landy is earning it's keep

Nearly broke me the other day when this happened while changing my hinges.....be strong!! ha:D:D:D
 
Bit boring compared to the rest of you...removed the completely rotten retractable rear step & knackered gas strut. Got another from fleabay which also has useless strut so may just replace with a suitable spring. Now to remove the rotten rear mudflap brackets now shiny galv ones arrived today.
 
got mine to articulate on a pair of car ramps. didn't get it all the way but my work colleague was impressed. one thing that confused me was that although both ramps were touching the ramps on the floor when the front wheel was at the top of the ramp the rear wasn't. any particular reason for this? neither ramp moved so surely they should have been at the top at the same time?
 
Made a start on fitting central locking. Got the back door working so hopefully that's the difficult part out of the way. Just drilled a hole in the interior lever and fitted a stiff rod to that, and the whole lot is hidden by the mud door trim. It's a bit stiff to operate manually now but that shouldn't be needed once it's up and working. Should be able to link it t up to the alarm system if I can figure which wire does what :)

I spent most of last Friday drilling work-hardening stainless steel screws out of my friend's patio doors last Friday. He's got a folding set down each side of his extension. I blunted and overheated nearly all my drills on that so there may need to be some grinding and tempering before I get busy on the Land Rover again.
 
Filled my now clean engine with fresh oil, (sump and pickup filter cleaned out)
Fitted radiator and pipes, sorted turbo to intercooler pipe out :cool:

Filled transfer box with oil , just gearbox to fill now when I get some more ATF:)
 
Had a crack at paint inbetween figuring out how to clean my gun, ended up sending the jetwasher through it after a bath in thinner, seemed to work. Lesson learnt always clean your guns!

Next job, finally get the old steering guard off, empty the interior properly.

Start interior paint & carpet, start bolting on fancy bits :D

Cant wait!

went up forwards in low range for the control and had the ramps under osf and nsr both ramps were touching the wheels then once the osf was at the top the nsr was still on the ramp bit not the top and my handbrake is officially crap think it's about time to renew the shoes lol

Did you look into pop door kits? These are usually used on modified cars when they want to remove the external locks and handles.

I understand central locking has a lot of moving parts that have to work with the existing mechanisms, whereas pop door kits provide new closing bolts as part of design. Just wondering if you considered and eliminated these.
