Front axel rebuild continues: Front hubs and callipers on with all new bearings, gaskets and seals, nearly there now..........
I'll post some pics when done.

fitted a new pair of springs +2" as the front of the 110 was riding low + the previece owner had a winch on the front.
definetly a better ride now did'nt notice how soggy the springs were.
rotated the bfg's while i had the front 1's off , found out the O/S/R oil seal has been leaking so thats a new seal and disc pads

Heard a new clonking ,twanging sound from beast. Not enough to make you panic but enough to be curious , soooo, got yoga mat out (drive was dirty ) and went on a voyage of discovery under the belly of the beast , shaking bits of metal to see if it moved and twanged . Forgot to take the manual so couldn't remember what bits were what, so ended up "phoning a friend" and describing bits of metal:eek:

Discovered that doing this whilst dressed for the office and in high heels is not necessarily a great idea  but thought by the time I went and changed I'd have lost interest and wouldn't carry on .

So then copied the Victorians and decided to send the smallest child under instead .:D

So never found twanging/clonking noise but exploration continues tomorrow

as Ill as I am,
but having thoughts of a tasty women in high heels under a landie,
in full office wear,
is doing something to my widgit....

now, being a gentleman, I will not lay down outside the landie looking up so to speak....

oh dear, my widgit`s getting excited now.....

NURSE, can you help me a minuet please...

Fitted the extended breathers for gear box, transfer box and axels, will need to put some pics of it up soon

Used it as an emergency animal ambulance to ferry a wee dog and it's extremely distressed owner to the nearest vet when dog had been hit by a car.

in past few weeks have replaced front swivel pin bearings and seals etc adding one shot grease. free off diff lock. trace electrical fault to loose connection and corroded block connector. sorted that out. have now ordered new rubber coupling kit for rear prop so that will need fitting when it arrives. currently looking for window lift ecu to get rear windows on the go once again.
oh and on monday i removed the balloons banners etc etc plastered all over it by my so callled m8,s proclaiming to all that i am now 40!!(b******s).

Tidied a few things up, lots of little bits of stuff, trying to make sense of having a single cigarette socket and needing to power 4 things, without shed-loads of wiring all over. Think I have to take the console off and hard-wire the CB and a couple of flying leads to make it neater.

Got annoyed at it 'cos both diff seals are leaking, and both Transfer box output seals too!! Does anyone know offhand if they're all the same seal? I'm hoping so, as it'll make it easier to order and keep a couple spare .. ;)

Broke the fan shroud locking 'springthing' so used a self-tapper to put it back on .. bodgetastic!

Cleaned up the headlight area a bit, moss growing under the rubber shroud that goes around them, took the rad grille off to remove debris and ****e from the front of the radiator, surprising how much gets in there .. and how easy it is to bend the intercooler fins! Can't find me viscous fan spanner so might have to buy another, want to take it off and replace it with an electric fan on a switch.

Checked me towrope, actually a lifting loop, with a part of the external casing split but all the internal polyester fibres are sound so just used duct tape to repair the outer .. ;)

About finished the buck storage off... It just needs a lick of paint on the wheel tubs to match it all in

Just finished stripping the donnor disco for my 90. Engine, gearbox, wheels and everything else i can think of is on the garage floor, axles all loose so when it goes back on the trailer we can get them off and weigh it in.
