Run into slight problem with rear prop length so turned the long crank pulley into into stumpy pulley and rear mounting rad. Gotta bring engine forward 160mm but means I keep the series front end and rad will do nicely in the back
So are you fitting a viscous on the back?
Ok, I bought the car 2 years ago, a mate bought his landy from the same place, he had a problem with his car with patching on the chassis using roofing felt, his was 5 months ago now, today I have discovered the same on mine after fitting new brakes and swapping over the radius arm bushes. Can I still get compensation from the guy in any from or is it too late?? See photos for shiny brakes and shoddy patch work
After 2 years, you have virtually no hope whatsoever of claiming anything at all back from the guy you bought it from. I hate to sound harsh, but let this be a lesson to you about checking a vehicle thoroughly.Ok, I bought the car 2 years ago, a mate bought his landy from the same place, he had a problem with his car with patching on the chassis using roofing felt, his was 5 months ago now, today I have discovered the same on mine after fitting new brakes and swapping over the radius arm bushes. You want compensation for what ?
Not checking the chassis properly yourself and you're two years down the line ?
compensation to repair the chassis, i had the car thorougly checked out by a landrover mechanic with 30 years experience, and he ha MOT'd it for the past 2 years, even he did not find the patch, it just looked like a well wax oiled chassis. so to those saying i didnt check the car properly i did, after buying a crock the first time i had learnt my mistakes, having it checked out by a professional is as good a check as you'll get. cheers for the help though, will give the guy a phone call tomorrow.
i can prove it due to the fact that he purchased the car from suffolk and my mates car from Aberdeen, he then did 'some' work to both of the cars one a year later than the other, both came from different ends of the country, went through the same middle man and then came out with the same shoddy style of work!
Impossible. Shoddy work that cant be found by an "experienced" lr guy. Failed a mot yet?
