Lifted the bonnet checked my oil leak from rocker cover gasket ! Thought mmm need to fix that ! Checked my water leak from block which is now fixed :) thanks to rad weld steering box slight drip under pressure so checked levels ... Lowered bonnet .... Fridge beer ! Sun deck chair Friday afternoon

Got any more spares that don't leak and are for sale? (Adwest lightweight)

Wish I had, both mine leak so I'm having a go at swapping the bottom seals cause there's not any play in them.

Welded new spring carrier brackets on back axle today:cool: waiting for new shocks and brake bits for front axle:)

I've fitted my new front propshaft this evening. It seemed a bit shorter than the other one, but I think the splines will be able to accommodate the movement. I succeeded in rounding one of the nuts with my propshaft tool and nice new impact wrench, so that took a bit of fiddling before it gave way. I'm impressed with the propshaft nut tool, as it says Britpart on it so I would have expected it to give way before the nut did. I've taken a few bits and pieces off because I want to replace some of the metal brake pipes tomorrow and I've cleared some of the other components out of the way in readiness.

Bought this from Asda to check my swivel pre load with:cool:

Run into slight problem with rear prop length so turned the long crank pulley into into stumpy pulley and rear mounting rad. Gotta bring engine forward 160mm but means I keep the series front end and rad will do nicely in the back

Got me repair kit out for the power steering pump and the numbers don't match anything that I've found after a search.

Its a four bolt type, the kit is numbered STC 2848

Goin tool station for some circlip pliers cause someone borrowed mine:rolleyes:
