Done nowt tae mine tonight bar drive it. Did make some guid progress cleanin' out the garage tho'. Actually managed tae get me trailer in there tonight and started loadin' it up with stuff for the dump

After starting the V8 today and one carb flooding (stuck valve) again, and then it deciding not to run propper on gas when it got warm (again), I decided that as good an engine as it is (barely run in) that it's coming out asap (when I've done me Clio cambelt).
Not had a day this week when the fooking thing hasn't broken down and left me stranded without wheels so enough is bloody enough and it has to go.
The whole lot is coming out, V8 , lt85 , and worn disco box to be replaced with a 300 tdi + boxes from a 95 Disco as long as it's good when I hear it running etc at weekend.
When the V8 is running it is superb on petrol or gas but the niggling little problems with carbs, gas, and wires shorting out through crap wiring are doin my ead in.:doh:
Need to use the 110 and need to know that it will run all day without letting me down so as I've no time to fix all the problems with the V8 then it's goin.
Decided....definate....goin.
Wouldn't it be easier to just use the Disco? ..

Thinking last night along the lines of selling the 110 and getting summat decent but I've toooooo much money invested the the dog of land rover that I was well and truly stitched up with.

i've been trying for 2 days to undo the crankshaft pulley, tried as per the manual, in gear and spin the engine, in gear brakes on and braker bar, air gun and it still won't budge?????????????????

that has crossed my mind but its only the fan thats left handed.
i'll try a couple of bolts in the pulley and jam it with a bar against the chassis, if that don't work i'll put it back together and let the garage fight with it

I've finally finished (ish) the fokin welding!!!
Really cant look at it anymore, have had so much of welding rear wheel arches, front inner, and floor that all I can think is selling the damn thing!

well the day before santa pod land rover show, some arses put thru BOTH my O/S windows, they stole my DVD player, and T-MAX tyre pump, the worse bit is it's sat the last month or so with no windows, i moved it today and got a wet arse, SO i went to my friend and disco breaker, Chris, and brought two windows, the problem is the runners are different, so i'm gluing mine onto the new glass

Today I glued a tiny bit of trim (the front of the coin tray) back on. I'd broken it off when randomly pulling bits looking for a 12v line to take a feed from.

Just filled it with 80 ltrs of Diesel - and I'm very annoyed.
Bio garage shuts at 5, and couldn't get out of work in time, but I needed something in the tank for tomorrow's mammoth expedition to Wales.
Oh well, a couple of days destroying the environment, smelling disgusting, and costing me extra money isn't the end of the world
