Nah, straight doon the middle
Ah reckon me new door is a bit buckled! Ah've had the thing off, messed about with the hinges, messed about with the stricker, had a rat**** strap on the top hinge/ mirror bracket to the top seat belt mount, took a file tae the stricker holes so's tae move them forward tae make the door close properly and the fecker is still not right! It's tight at top and bottom but kicks out at the curve under the window.... Hinge end is perfect
So what your really saying is it fits just like all other land rover doors. Well done, job done
no mate!
what i think he's trying to say is, it fits wher it touches
Nah, the drivers door fitted a treat, didn't have tae do owt with that. It's just this other soddin' door that's led me tae the drink! So what your really saying is it fits just like all other land rover doors. Well done, job done

Pretty crap photies 'cos it's dark now, but this is what ah'm on about....
Ah don't envy ye Si, but leave the hinges on the bulkhead / pillar and ye might be lucky
and the top of the door bending outwards a bit.it looks like the door needs lifting and the striker plate moving in.not done one of these for many years.
Tried lifting with rat**** strap/prybar under the door/ wedges etc. Have had the striker in umpteen different positions, door won't 'lock' into striker anywhere else than where it is and that's after filing the holes to give a bit more leeway!it looks like the door needs lifting and the striker plate moving in.not done one of these for many years.
It's more so the bottom that needs bendin' out.. but the top is tight anaw!and the top of the door bending outwards a bit.

Hehhehehe, tried that anaw... just at the bottom tho' and the fecker ain't fur budgin' ... not even with me full weight against the middle of the door! Ah've 'almost' resigned meself to leavin' as is but it's buggin' me!block of wood at the top and bottom of the door and push the middle in,it will straighten out the door so that it goes in better.
