After bringing the trailer to work for a friend to borrow, I realised my trailer hookup wasn't supplying the right voltage to the right tail/brake light. Brief inspection found the culprit... (a hack job...which I further hacked). A few new heat shrink solder thingies and a new wrap of tape, a bit better than before :)

Whilst in cable mode, I also chopped off my ODB plug and replaced with a non-standard - every little helps!

I've been out tinkering with the Land Rover. I was looking for the source of a clunk on drive take-up. Of course, they often do this, but mine seemed to be getting a little louder and sharper. The propshaft joints all seemed to be OK, the wheel bearings likewise. There was a little movement between the drive shafts and drive flanges so I swapped the worst one for a slightly less bad one out of the shed. Otherwise it is hard to tell where it is coming from. The suspension bushes seem alright too.

Whilst i had got the tools out i changed my engine mounts. The TD5 engine can be jacked up just enough to get them out, apparently. This is true, as I found out today. It feels really weird jacking the engine so it stands up out of the car, but there is just enough flex in all the pipes and wires to allow this. Once the old ones were out I had to jack it up even more to get the new ones in because they weren't as flat as the old ones. Everything still seems to work when I tried it, so it looks like I've succeeded.

Got the rear door to open so I can actually use the boot through the door instead of lobbing everything over the back seats then having to climb in the back to retrieve any of it
