Trying to work out how to install some kind of cargo net to freelander 2 there's no clips / slots to hook into near ceiling anyone tried installation like this .don't want to fit dog cage type takes up to much room in boot my trusted deerhound cross likes his space ?

Done a Oil change with a new Oil Filter, new set of plugs... also cleaned the rear brakes up as they were rather dusty and ultered the handbrake.. was on about 8 clicks..now down to 4-5..and holds nicly..
still waiting on these Light Guards and the N/S/R Light lense somebody promised me ..

Fitted new intercooler & intake hoses and EGR bypass. After using the 22mm copper bung since last year I figured it was time to go the whole way.

Applied over 1500NM (yes one thousand five hundred) of torque to the hub nut on the drivers side and it wouldn't budge.

The passenger side eventually came off a few weeks ago with some persuasion, the drivers side I actually nearly shattered a 3/4" 1 meter breaker bar.
I ended up with a trolley jack under the end of the breaker bar and in the end it lifted the car off the ground...

Going to have to get a replacement nut and drill the b******d!

Did some offroading with The Shire LRC yesterday, picked up some scratches and lots of mud. The back box got pulled off the left hanger twice so some more protection is needed. Managed to follow and keep up with a modified defender 90 leading the pack. Very impressed with her. Traction control is awesome and cant wait to go out again.

Changed all 3 rear diff mounts, cured squeal from front brakes, made and fitted water shedder for rear door. Tomorrow I will be fitting new rear brakes and new abs sensors.

Refitted the bottom alternator bolt which had fallen out, apparently wasn't tightened after HG was replaced ...... by me

Sprayed some WD40 round the clutch actuator shaft and replaced the slave bracket. Clutch feels much better but I can't believe how rubbish the mechanism is for holding the slave in the bracket. It's shockingly bad.
Drove it and still like it.

Inlet manifold and egr got the Mr Muscle treatment for the first time. Anyone want to buy some primordial ooze?

Has anyone replaced the vcu carrier bearings themselves? Any special advice or tools required? Mondo mode and pulling 3 tonnes up Irish hills is not cool, in fact it is puckeringly scary.

Oh, and tomorrow I'm going to tackle the "No really Hippo old pal, you don't have a door open, so please stop honking" issue.

Started putting the box for my AUX power supply together. 55Ah Optima yellow top AGM battery, split-charge solenoid, fuses, 230V inverter etc...

Finally sorted the knocking on left front by replacing tierod end and drop link - that's twice in a year now. Thankfully they're only a tenner & an easy job.

Replaced the PCV filter system with a vortex one. It's incredible how clogged up that filter got in just a couple of weeks doing 4300 miles around Spain/Portugal.

Extended the ICV & Axle breather hoses and replaced the turbo valve, also extending the outlet side with a hose up to the top of the bulkhead.

The difference with the vortex is noticeable? I'd this going on, no wonder she was like an asthmatic walrus. BMW part ordered.

Gave it a full service, then cleaned up and greased the brake lines ready for the MOT…

Made life a bit easier for myself in the future by drilling holes in the under part of the bumper in line with the front bolts of the under tray.
