Does it feel a lot different?

it now feels like a totaly dif car !!!

it feels so much better and strangly responsive on the steering (new ball joints lol)

the car feels so much stiffer and better ,and every single creak , knock that there was has gone its like a new car , well nearly lol

and at that price well well well worth my time to do :)

Made it a single seater so that I could carry enough wood to build Noah a new Ark!

Slowly falling out of love with it though... :(

Just got to the stage of no longer trusting it mainly due to reading all the premature failures and defects posted on this forum. At 114k miles, average of 25 mpg around town and £280 RFL decided that this was the right time to get rid, my days of sitting by the roadside waiting for recovery have long since gone, hopefully.

Refitted prop with new bearings, washed and vacuumed it, put back seats back in after needing a van last weekend, went for test drive to check all ok! And it is!

Checked fuel consumption as well. Got 31.4 mpg out of it on a 500 mile round trip up to Easington.

I got a bit of mud on mine!
It was a big puddle but I was brave!

Stripped out the facia to swap the heater matrix.

Found an ADR5 tracking device hidden behind the dash. Had the Hippo 8 years and never knew a thing about it!

hiya

may i ask how easy was it getting the dash out as im putting another non marked dash and also will be replacing the heater matrix and carpets at the same time

was just wondering when input the dash back do the rubber foam strips around the vents go in easy or is it a pig

thks again and hope u didnt mind me asking

Did you do it just with trolley jack / axle stands?

Did you do it just with trolley jack / axle stands?

yes ,plus blow tourch ,hammer and drift

was not a big job to be honest first one or 2 bushes took a while to do but once i figured out the easest way to get them out was very easy , to rebush the items i just used a long threaded screw and a few washers

My pre facelift went in easy. There's a pic on here somewhere showing where all the bolts are, that was the hardest bit for me!

Got a puncture the other day, luckily I had a couple of spare 16" tyres kicking around.
They have been rattling around in my boot all week as I haven't had time to get to a friendly tyre fitter untill today. Opened the boot and something wasn't right but I couldn't put my finger on it.....

Untill I realised I have 17" wheels on this one. Doh!

Got to try and find some reasonable priced part worns now, no easy feet when you have to be fussy about the tyre make!

finished rear subframe mount repair
very ugly welding under the thick coat of hammerite but no more creaking around corners, trough street holes and speed bumps, fixed!!!
