Bought a nice stainless steel sport back box today....hope to get it fitted this week
Does it fit a td4?
I've just picked up a 2003 V6 with a medium sized list of issues. So over the last few days have investigated/sorted/fixed:
* Passenger side electric window. Fortunately just a dodgy switch as opposed to anything worse, so new switch on order.
* Sunroof - was dead. Switch was disconnected - for a reason! Would get half way and jam. Would come back and jam. Bizarrely though all rails were intact, although a bit rusty. So with a bit of adjustment it's now alive and well. Greased up the runners though to try and preserve them as long as possible.
* Replaced the rear HL brake light with a loan part. The bulb wasn't just gone, it was completely exploded/melted.
* Fixed lower nearside brake light. Water had got in to the light cluster and rotted the bulb holder. Found one on an earlier FL1... although turns out the indicator holder are different between the early FL1 and the slightly later (not F/L) FL1... so had to splice the two looms together.
* The car came with a Parrot bluetooth thing that worked but was installed incorrectly. Reinstalled and then flashed the firmware to the latest version, so now works with the iPhone.
* Found a nice big puddle of water in the boot which the HK sub was basting in. Dried that out... and then discovered it had filled up again! So need to investigate more as to where all the water is and potentially fix seals.
* Used a DEC SuperScan Solo to clear some of the fault codes and clear lights off the dash. Will see if they reappear...
* Oh, and yeah. Filled the coolant. ( )
