Dad came home having borrowed my car & said there is a nasty clink on the rear diff when taking off.
Removed rear diff mount & found it was not doing much!
Had a Bearmach one waiting for better weather but the sun came out for 5 minutes so I fitted it today.

My rear step arrived today too so fitted that.

I'll probably never use it for anything except as a bump stop!
I'd rather the car nudged something with that instead of the rear tyre & shattering the rear glass!!

Much did the step cost? Considered making these a while ago but didn't see any room for making worthwhile money from them

T'was £23 + postage.
Steps are fine but the long edge which the bolts go through could do with being thicker. It flexes a little.
May consider welding a strengthening bar along the back of it in the summer.

Dad has a towbar step on the transit.

Towing clearance is fine even towing a caravan with a plastic wrapped draw bar.
Did catch it once trying to reverse a 2ton digger and it jackknifed.

I considered getting a step a while back but I thought I would probably catch my shins on it more than use it so I went against it.

Cut my bloody annoying exhaust off. Didn't have enough time to make it side exit today though so it's just aimed at my diff untill Saturday

Car stalled as the under bonnet fuel pump lost connection! Already replaced the plug! Thinks it's time for new pump! Grr! I well I just moved the plug until it connected again and carried on driving!

My L Series has a loose connection going into the relay, if I hit a bump too hard it cuts the fuel for a second. It's on my to do list

Replaced my propshaft bearing and re-fitted prop. It's only been 3 weeks since I took it off. Whoops!
Made and fitted my side exit exhaust, it didn't go 100% to plan but I am happy with it for now

My propshaft is off Aswell! Gkn bearings sitting on bedroom floor! Bit windy out there to do any work!

Hmm side exit sounds good!! Pics!

As I said I am still not 100% happy with it. When I had the idea in my minds eye I didn't give proper thought as to securing it. In the end I attached a bit of angle to the bolts that hold of my sill protectors and attached an exhaust clamp to it with a bit of rubber to dampen it. The welder ran out of gas otherwise I would have welded a bolt to the exhaust and hung it off that

See if anyone can spot the deliberate mistake (apart from how I fixed it on)
