At last got the Winch Bumper from Dixon Fabrication and fitted over the weekend! Seriously pleased with the quality. Also meant i could fit the Dirt Monkey steering guard as this didnt fit with the standard bumper without chopping the bumper.

Looks nice!
What did you do with your windscreen washer bottle? I see it isn't dangling in the wind.

Just dropped her off for rear Chassis replacment and MOT!! very nervous!
Hi, are you having just the rear 1/4 done if so & if you don't mine me asking how much have they quoted you for it ? I got quoted a grand yesterday:eek: & I know my tank, bumper etc will come out/off easily as I've replaced every bolt with stainless steel less then 3,000 miles ago. Hope it all goes well.

I made a list today of all the priority maintenance and ordered parts needing completition prior to my UK MOT inspection in February:
- replace leaking brake master cylinder
- replace failed LF & RR window regulators
- replace burned out fog light
- slow leak LR tyre

Hi, i have been quoted £950 including the 1/4 chassis, obviusly if it takes longer than the allotted time then it will be more expensive! its a big decision for me but have been assured that the rest of the chassis is solid with just some welding to the cills to do. once its all welded then im taking it to South West Rust Proofing for them to give it a full underside check and quote for a complete underbody protection. im hoping if i can do this it should give her 5-10 years more life!

Hi, have you got your D2 back yet & were the any there any unforeseen bits that pushed the price up from the quote ?
I'm hoping to get mine booked in for February & it would be handy to know so I can prepare myself:eek:, many thanks.

My Disco Series II (2000 car, TD5 manual, 300tkms in odo) project is now in my garage waiting for parts. I'll be doing the suspension, new springs & shocks all over. Both front springs were snapped, looks like everything is from the factory. Started cleaning and spraying the bolts front & back to ease the job when parts arrive. Already did oil change for both diffs, engine oil and filters. New shuttle valve didn't take care of 3 amigos, have to dig deeper. Maybe get a diagnose tool too. Luckily the chassis is solid from back to front, no rot. The only places in the body I found soft spots were the back end of sills, those will be welded.

A code reader will be a big help to ensure you don't go of chasing the wrong fault. If it is the 'shuttle valve intermittent' problem, there's a mod you can do to improve the internal earth of the module, Google 'Option B mod' and take a look.

Got around to replacing the camshaft oil seal/cap. I'm surprised the old one didn't fall out, it was so loose old one on the left).

Nice easy job for a change, hurrah! Then I spotted the fuel pressure regulator was leaking. Oh well.

I was actually thinking about doing the mod when replacing the shuttle valve.

Which diagnostic tool are you using? I was thinking about getting Foxwell.
