Its not something thats fitted as standard to a TD5 from all that Ive read about the TD5

Some did , some did not, some have it in the box but no connection to the lever inside, and the lever inside on those ones cannot move sideways anyway. Whichever way it is, If you have not got it fitted in the box, then you are not driving with the front prop removed.

Thanks - just read up on it and would need to investigate further - but its probably as you say not going to happen
so its going to sit on the ramps till i get it all sorted and fitted back on

if the linkage is on top of the T box, then yu can engage it with a spanner from underneath.

Replaced the old girl with a 2012 Mondeo!
Looking forward to not spending my weekends fixing her anymore!
So the Disco will be up for sale shortly, shes been ultra reliable for the last 20K+ miles.
I could say Ill be sad to see her go...but I dont think I will!
