Changed the fuel filter, first time I've done that - didn't want to start at first, but an extended churn over and it caught and ran - phew!

^^^^^ That's ok if it's a td5 !!
Mike at dynachip remaps them for £250.
Anyway you said yours goes like stink and have no need for it to go faster
I put my PSI powerbox on eBay and it's currently at £26 - it's set up for a Discovery 2 so probably wouldn't work on a D3 otherwise it would have been a cheap option.
what's the penny trickHave you tried the penny trick?
I get to post in here and the range rover section, discovery today disscoverd iv got an intermittent starter looks like the solinoid so I'll order a repair kit.
Here is one of the better brake pads I removed during its service

If that's the "best" pad, I would seriously be thinking about replacing the discs at the same time.
The minimum thickness figures for the discs are given in RAVE, but if there's only a small lip, well, it's up to you.Discs all checked out OK no run out at all and only a small lip on the outer near side disc iv made a list for my next spannering session most important is the intermittent non starter not even a click then after 3 or 4 turns of the key, life and the starter spins have orderd a sonleniod repair kit
I can safely say and i know this is a big risk by pointing it out.... everything now works great on my disco!! i have to now turn my spanner sessions to fixing my old car to sell or sorting out my mrs ****roen c3
Mine the reverse my p38 is well sorted now so needed another challage disco 2 td5 es 7 seat 170k miles, what could possibly go wrong ?
