I can imagine! Got a welder bloke recommended by the garage having a look at it tomorrow and hopefully sort it soon. The side steps will be in the way, but as they also need attention I'll try and get those off and sorted at my 'leisure'.

When I was young, our neighbours son, did a bit of welding on his Reliant Robin. That was the last time we saw it before it burst into flames....
