Just bought me D2 a ProVent 200.
The above post reminded me that I was thinking about this the other week and then I totally forgot about it until now. :)

Just thought I'd post some photos of my latest project. Bought it at end of August. A 1998 Discovery LE. V8, rear ac, was driven here to Pittsburgh from southern California. Owner had some shoddy work done to it, head gaskets went. This was in 2007, has been off the road ever since. I bought it because there is almost no rust, except sunroofs leaked, so I pulled out the interior, cleaned up , primed, and painted floors.

Incredible the amount
I installed a cheaper £10 air filter element from eBay for my V8 as an oil catch container for the intake.
I can now see the results of this filter keeping the sludge out of the intake. It is quite impressive and yet disturbing after driving less than 100 miles.

That is a very neat solution.

Yesterday's work rather than today, was too knackered to post this by the time I'd finished.
Well the saga of the knocking noise from rear suspension /chassis continues (no, it's not loose seats!).
Replaced front and rear ARB bushes with polybush (and new clamps as they were pitted), new watts link & arms ordered to fit next week.
Noticed some play on front rods a while ago so I also managed to fit a new HD panhard rod, steering rod and drag link while I had the car up.

Air bag spacer blocks to be fitted today (ran out of time yesterday) and a search round south Hampshire to find somewhere decent to check tracking!

Thinking about fitting a new F/N/S wheel bearing today. Its getting a little droney driving along. A new set of AT3's dont help either.. Then investigate a new noise coming from the engine. Exhaust manifold or injector seals... may be the next niggly thing I put on the list of things to do.

I hope you've got a 3/4 breaker bar for the middle nut - I snapped a 1/2" bar when I changed the first one. The other 3 were easy (ish) with the bigger bar!

Ive a three foot half inch breaker bar... Never let me down yet on my Transit, despite having to stand on the bugger to get the nuts off....

If that breaks, Machine Mart is open today, so they are 40 quid in an emergency...

Yep, machine mart saved me too! Hopefully you won't need it. Good luck!!

Well had it back on the road 300miles now.
Issue free no water loss no oil loss no funny noises.
Synced another key to it and now both fobs have lost any use of the buttons.
A bit nervous being on air but all seems good.
Hear the compressor hum for a like a second when I get in it and every now and then when I come to a stop.
Funny hearing it pss and level when you get out too.
Still for all the good some bad
some joker went up the back of it while I was stopped at a roundabout.
Got a bumper and facelift light to pick up it looks like I'm in for a rear quater swap (one day)
