gearbox broke a bit.
rattly noises.
sometimes gets 2nd.
sometimes gets stuck in reverse.
5th fully can't get 5th engine on or off
owell at 194k i don't think its done too bad
2nd hand good box and t/f box with diff lock and 300tdi linkages at the ready.
not that it actually goes off road its nice to have

got a thrust bearing on its way and clutch on standby.
local motor factors just get from landrover but their delivery and mark up is cheeper then my fuel and time going through myself
it still got me to a job this morning better go get it apart tonight.. it needs to be alive for weekend my bmw has the rolling road and needs taken on a trailer

e46 330ci sport individual in velvet blue.
e46 328 skidder in another shade of purple.
wifes got a 318 estate.
and a 2.8 saloon skidder.
had a volvo 940 with a 2.3 turbo lump.
iv bought yet another range rover p38 too.
iv got an ls2 6.0 v8 sat ready and piecing the parts to convert the 330ci

that went down like a lead balloon
still productive evening went and picked up a gearbox and tf box and also a good flywheel just incase yeah 2nd hand isnt ideal but il take my chances.
2hours work all i could be assed doing. The box is ready to lift out. whatevers let go has plastered oil from the rear of the gearbox back.
thankfully i think it's been out not so long ago. heres the clues.
top starter bolt missing. 1 top bellhousing bolt loose. cross members came undone.
2 center console screws rounded heads. crank sensor wirings been jointed and extended a bit.
apart from a facefull of dried mud here and there nothings been a struggle or a bugger.
straps on. engine hoist is in through the passanger side. ready to lift down tomorrow.

boot floor cracked issue.
inspection with valve clearances.
its had everything possible at once £1000s on parts alone.
well you've had an m3 you'll know.
