EU rules should be pending to outlaw Freelanders. They are divisive and preclude social harmony.
you may not read about them..when you've got one .but im sure you would research the pitfalls before buying ya first one ..
the guy with no prop asked me how I knewso much about vcu and props...cause been on internet 27000000 times..obviously he aint seen them..lolI would, but as you point out, it has been posted on the forum, and probably most of the innernet, about 27,000,000, times before!
Im now aware of 3 buyers who have purchased freelanders with no props, surely people research before they buy a vehicle they know nothing about.
One of these buyers is a mate who couldn't be bothered to ask for advice or more likely to pig headed.
Now hes spent 3k on a td4 and when I saw it did reverse on full lock test which was very smooth ..looked under..no prop..driving it theres a knocking from front all be it not bad but I reckon ird shot.
Any one on here just had a freelancer...go look under ya car for a prop...cause if aint got one you've got load expense coming your way and treat this site like ya bible...its got all the answers
very wise..as you know what the result can be if it failsBought myself another Freelander about a month ago. It's got its props / VCU in place, although the VCU feels tight to me. Looks like I'm going to give a DIY referb a go. I'm not fantastic at welding, so I'm going to try a different method of get the old fluid or and the new fluid in.
Just got back from a few days away and really want to reply to this ****, but I'm hungry. So I'll get a curry then tell the **** what a fecking **** he really is!
Thankfully, I'm a rich as this **** - and I shalln't skimp on my curry - I'll spend $17 for a very good curry - not like those who can't afford a $17 curry and pay $12 and accept it ain't quite a $17 curry.
....hope ya ird blows up...lol
well I hope it runs well..wouldn't wish ya ird to blow up..
. but theres always the cheap skates who scrimp...
I once brought a curry for £5 and some chicken. I had to rebuild the curry st home in my kitchen.
Now because I don't read about freelancers normally, why do you need to weld them when changing some oil in some part of the drivetrain?
Think you've just discribed me there mate. I have the knocking, and no prop So what does it mean exactly? I no nothing of these vehicles, I merely wanted a van for work. It's a 2000 Freelander Commercial 2.0L diesel.Im now aware of 3 buyers who have purchased freelanders with no props, surely people research before they buy a vehicle they know nothing about.

See that's where you go wrong. You sir, like everybody (except the OP and me) are idiots. You should listen to the OP. Only professionals should rebuild things, it is not to be attempted at home. As you did rebuild your curry, you really deserve a good dose of the trots.
Sealed units, getting fluid out, getting fluid in, keeping fluid in.
grumpy...go...f....self sick off gobbing off at every chance ya get...for sake off 250 quid idiots like you,,,do there own...risk wrecking the ird, seen the post where ground of the casing drilled holes..welded it up..well that's balanced then...if ya cant afford 250 quid ..buy a corsa...lol..no wonder so many freelanders get scrapped..cheapskates buy them ..cant afford to run them...lolYou sir are an obnoxious **** - which is it? Do you want this fella's car t break or not? I think I know what you're wishing for - and it ain't exactly in the spirit of the forum.
Who the f**k are you to call this bloke a scrimping cheap skate? Do you know him? Does he pinch his kids dinner money for a pint after work?
You have completely ignored what he has said. He has paid £20 for a set of props with a VCU housing in the middle. His has drained the fluid in the VCU housing and replaced it with new - which is basically what a reconditioner does. Whether he did this because he wanted a challenge or to save money I do not know and should be completely irrelevant to everyone except an abosolute **** arsehole. Personally - good on him - he's got off his arse and done something much more creative that posting obnoxious comments about all and everyone.
norm for him ..gobby sh....t..just the guy to do a twopenny repair that takes hs than pay for a proper one....Get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning GG?
You are correct of course!
