What glue to use?

Sadly I've managed to break off the locator 'cups' on the rear door card. These are on the back of the card and hold the plastic pins in place - These pins then push into the plastic holders in the tail door itself.

My questions are: What type of plastic is the Freelander's interior? OR What is the correct glue to use?
I tried some modellers poly glue - what kit builder use for those polystyrene aircraft kits ... when dry it just chipped off. So it's not a "'styrene". I've used 'Araldite' in the past but it too doesn't 'key' into the plastic despite giving the surface a rough-up to held it key in.

Suggestions please as to how I can effect a decent repair.
 
I’d just buy something like these and find a replacement.
If need be, drill through the card, use a suitable fastener, and paint the top (if your that fussed about seeing it)

If you're having trouble, I have the door card in the parts car. Its a 2001 model (hopefully the same) and may be rather moldy - I'll have a look tomorrow.
 
Given the relatively small surface area you will have to ‘glue’ the plastic rivet heads back on with, I’d suggest nothing will hold that well.
I’d still go with a replacement stud personally…

Why would that glue a plastic rivet, with a cross-section of about 1/4”, with any strength?
That stuff cures like a sealant.
 
Why would you try to glue a rivet? Surely you would just replace it. I assumed it was to glue the panel back on.
 
I'm not glueing the actual rivet it's there molding on the door card which holds the rivet. When putting the door card back on you press the card firmly and those rivets go 'home' into their respective holes...

Yes, I know, but I thought you snapped yours off the card?
Therefore, why not just replace them?

But I've snapped off the holders as in the 2nd & 3rd pic - I want a good glue / adhesive to stick them on again.

A replacement door card is a good idea but an auto dismantler is a 2 hour drive / 200+ km for me. That is a very kind offer G- I'll be in touch!

You will struggle to do a good repair by gluing it back together because as someone mentioned there is only a small surface area. I suspect you will have to devise another way to attach it or come up with a replacement.
