While I had the Nanocom out I checked the other modules and noticed the ABS is showing a pressure switch fault. I had noticed the brakes were heavier and the rears were wearing fast but I assumed it was because a flush and bleed was overdue. Can anyone remember which cars had the same switch but cheaper?!

Fault hasn't recurred since I cleared it. Hoping it was just a gremlin.

My car has started being difficult to lock.. again!! Same symptoms as last time. Press the button several times and eventually will lock. Occasional 'key not found' message on the dash.
What's the chances that the replacement receiver had started to fail in the same way.. it doesn't exactly seem a common fault! Or is there something else that's causing it to burn out?

My "bargain basement" ^0 reg TDV8 4.4 is seemingly performing well. I had a problem with the drivers side heating not working, my local indie garage got a new valve for it, wrong unit, so a day's delay. It was different to all the advice gleaned from here and other fora! Job done, air con re-charged now all seems to work ok.
This week a trip to Europe, a trip of about 260 miles form home in Kent to the Ardennes in Belgium. the car performed well on nearly-deserted motorways, doing the 3 and a quarter hour, 230 mile trip from Calais to the Ardennes at a decent speed of 120km/h at an average fuel consumption of 1.4 l/per 10km, about 29 mpg I reckom, maybe my conversion is wrong. I've got the trip set to km/h to lessen the chance of a speeding ticket over here!
The front suspension arms need changing, they rattle something rotten, and I know at least one of the ball joints is "rather bad". Are they easy to change I wonder?

Piece of cake once you've got the body off :)

Not too difficult but depending which ones they need to be tightened with them at normal road height.

1.4litres per 100Km Ha Ha. If it's 14Litres per 100 Km that's a tad less than 20mpg
