Post in thread 'Reverse lamp, electrickery knowledgeable peeps, what do you think?' https://www.landyzone.co.uk/land-ro...e-peeps-what-do-you-think.396931/post-5801790
I only discovered that there was a difference in size when trying to fit a 39mm at the rear where a 36mm was required. The heat sink on my 39mm lamps was shorting out every time that I tried to fit the oversize bulb. Interestingly the circuit went out but it wasn't as I thought the fuse blowing that killed the interior lights. It must have been the BECM throwing a wobbly.I popped all the festoon ones out without paying too much heed and they were all 39mm. It wasn't until I came to fit the new rears that I noticed they were a tad long but still fitted and made good electrical contact. Someone before me must have replaced them sized incorrectly.

depends if the amps are limited? like USB for example.. you can short that out all day and it wont blow, not enough ampsThink the interior lights are driven direct by BECM so any short will burn out the track on the BECM board.
If driven by a MOSFET, over current protection will be built in.Think the interior lights are driven direct by BECM so any short will burn out the track on the BECM board.
I bought some of these that provide a much nicer light. Instead of the three LED dots there are a dozen smaller ones that give a more even light. You need a 39mm for the front & 36mm for each side at the rear.

Sadly, fairly typical.I bought some of these of eBay mid December to use on the number plate. One has already burnt out, the other is very dim so not long to go. That's crap life

Once you read past the fake Amazon reviews, the rest aren't great.. bus falling off, bulbs not working etcThe ebay stuff is usually short lived chinesium at its Errr best??
Most of this stuff comes from China branded or unbranded, the only difference in many cases is the price. The ebay stuff is usually short lived chinesium at its Errr best??
I buy quite a few things from China, rarely had problems and always in the event of a problem a prompt refund.or with "brands" we never heard of !! Must admit, I've had some crap from them, but also some quite good stuff.
