ok so i have a copy of impa that im using, everything is in english until it comes to the faults which are in german is there a copy were they are in english?
Same ere' dearI even inflate new bags on my P38's with my garage compressor, just enough to fill them out, then connect the system to fully inflate before lowering the car.
Got that stuff at mine if you need to borrow.i guess i need to buy some airline and make an adapter then
is it standard 6mm air line? i must be able to attach a schrader valve to that
Its not a push fit into the bag like a P38 though.Got that stuff at mine if you need to borrow.
We just used a tyre valve with the 'mushroom' pushed against the air inlet and a standard tyre inflator, it helps if you put some red rubber grease on the O rings, its only the lower ones that need seating.Just read, you need an airline adapter to inflate the bag to 5 bar while off the car to seat the bag onto the o rings!! Crikey.
Is this really needed? Seen people do it on YouTube etc with no mention
Dunno...but I've got lots of 6mm tubing and a valve with a 6mm pushfit on it, well...4 valves actually. Its not a push fit into the bag like a P38 though.

Like me it's probably old and tired and just wanted a siesta.dont you just love them, yesturday refused to start in the afternoon even though id been using it all morning, this morning it starts first turn of the key
i think its trying to tell me to go buy a new batteryLike me it's probably old and tired and just wanted a siesta.
Doesn't really apply to the P38 airbags as the come with top & bottom fittings in place.Use tyre paste when refitting airbags, like other rubber lubrication products, it helps things slide in easier.
Got plenty of that.. well it's more like a hard block but it's good on a wet brushUse tyre paste when refitting airbags, like other rubber lubrication products, it helps things slide in easier.
Would never have considered that! Voss connection is the electrical bit in the top?
Assume that would mean a new unit? The bag is past it's best but doesn't seem to be leaking. Assume it's original to the car
Went over one of those rubber speed strips today, it clunked. If that makes a difference.Do you get it if you drive over a speed hump with both wheels going over together or only when driven over obliquely?
ETA - do you have active or passive anti-roll bars?
