What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had a new rear screen fitted as the heater elements mostly didn't work and the rear wiper had done a fair bit of damage to it.

Not at all thrilled to find the spoiler resting on the roof without so much as a cloth to protect the paint or the ivory parcel shelf being used as a work bench even if it is a bit grubby. Why can't people just take care of stuff?

And, why does it look so weird without the glass in it? It's still the same shape.

Also managed to get brother's RRS running again tonight after the fuel gauge saga which turned out to need an ECU re-flash on the instrument cluster but hey, at least we know how the fuel tank comes out and where all the wiring runs now. Absolutely massive thanks and shout out to @Graculus for his sage wisdom with these things. A beer is definitely owed there!

Drove mine to and from work this evening, about 35 miles each way, mostly on motorway at "cruise control" speed. The low coolant light didn't show its face today. I forgot to mention in the morning I took it to a fairly local non-specialist garage, they gave a good estimate for changing the oil cooler, new filter, change engine il and flush out the water system for under £800 inc VAT. their paperwork reckons 2 hours to change the oil cooler. Optimistic or what?

Maybe that's because they didn't look to see what else had to come out! Their price for the cooler has a good mark-up for the Nissen unit, but hey ho, it's got to be done. The car is worth spending a bit on TLC. Just waiting for the dealer to aagree to getting it done though.
On my "other" car that had the 50-odd electronic faults and the potential duff gearbox, the dealer has started to refund my money. Deep joy.

Just off outside now the drizzle has stopped. Off to autoglass at Shrewsbury first thing tomorrow to get their bodged fitting job sorted. so I'm going to remove the trims, what that I can so it's still drivable then remove the remaining bits when I get there.
Halfway through typing this and they've just called...thinking it was probably just a reminder but no.....
The glass hasn't arrived and they need to reschedule for after the 10th December. No definite date and they will ring me when it's in..
Ended up going to Shrewsbury today anyway! Went to go out in the 38 early this morning and the inside glass is soaking wet and iced up in places. Visible gap and draught in the top passenger side of the windscreen, headliner (new ish) wet. Rang them up and after some resistance from them they agreed for me to go up and get some sealant piped around it until the new screen and top trim is fitted(hopefully correctly) on the 10th of this month. Got cdl issues now but I'll do a new post for that.

Stick some gaffa tape over the outside. May not look nice but Itl clean off after and stop any damage to interior for now
It's been sealed by autoglass. If they had refused to bodge it for now I would have sealed it myself with something. The dry (LOL) run to Shrewsbury was not much of a bother as I got to meet Alan who was a senior tech and knew p38s and said he will personally fit the new new screen and top trim himself on the 10th. He was quite concerned about how badly the mobile guy had fitted it. He showed me my new screen which had arrived days ago, just waiting on the new top trim which 'should' be there before the 10th.
