Well back home too it behaved fired straight into life, feels small after spending 10 days in a gmc yukon, glad to be back in my own vehicle though

Need to start a fred about the best tyres though, they don’t look like they would handle soft sand too well

Yes sir. It retains all the original functionality. You select Aux input and then hold the phone hang up button for second or two and switches into the IDCore unit; Android Auto or CarPlay. I will do a video on it when I get a bit more time.

Wafted Otto happily and steadily to the lakes, despite some horrible winds, rain and traffic. Enjoying a lovely hotel for wife's birthday weekend.

Series 0.5 Sand Rover performed adequately on the maiden voyage.
Sand was hard to medium firmness and wet. Drove well on there, coped well with 4 to 5 inches of gentle surf. Tougher going over the big shingle, tendency to wedge one wheel but good over small shingle.
Worth persevering, contemplating Corvette style transverse leaf springing and some degree of front axle lateral articulation.
Wife very happy to be able to cope with the trudge to the sea edge and back to the car park again.

Similar to wheels I used, tubed wheelbarrow ones rather than sack barrow as figured plastic would be lighter to lift in and out of Otto's tailgate.

Same sorta thing but lighterer is betterer. could always dual the wheels like on a tractor or lorry help across rough terrain. More bulky though even with a quick release so you fit duals as and when needed

It is amazing how well they perform with a ton of logs in the back, especially with the air suspension.
