Haha I'm not that silly!!
I do like the idea of a petrol though.. i miss it.
I've noticed that none of the late 2010-12 petrol engines have the 8 speed trans.. seems really odd

The only reason for these near CVT multigear transmissions is for emissions, with the amount of grunt these engines have, 5 gears would be plenty.

An extra £60k for all the plastic trim is a bit steep, considering all the other 2012 RR are around £10,000.

Not really done anything except pop the bonnet and nod knowingly.
But I have ordered a new bonnet release cable, fan belt, 2 x fuel filters and 2 x mahle oil filters in prep for an upcoming oil change.

Only if they have the rotary dial, the lever ones are all zf6 as far as im aware

I think it’s that there’s no international money symbol for the Jellytot so the lister has been forced to use the £ instead. Not his fault.

Seems the petrol engine kept the old transmission and the old 4x4 system with the rotary selector

Didn't have a great day yesterday. Was a bike track day.. ended up in the gravel and dropped it once I'd stopped (could have been worse) so that ended my time on the bike. Seems it needs brake and forks overhaul.

On the way home, used the paddles to pull a lower gear and the gear display started to count upwards and then i got 'gearbox overheating'.

Cycled the ignition when i could pull over and the message went away and was fine for the rest of the drive home

On the bike.. think i boiled the brake fluid.

Dunno what happened with the car though, didn't go into limp mode. Didn't reoccur

Uncovered him between rain spells to check the fluids and dehumidifier before our spell in the lakes next week. Should be nice wafting those roads again for the wife's birthday. All good so far, tyres to check next dryish spell.

Took a couple of bits out and installed Apple CarPlay/Android Auto. I am over the moon with this. It wasn't cheap but the integration is excellent and it keeps it looking 100% stock. Not for the feint-hearted though as you will need to strip down the head unit and add a new circuit board and ribbon cables etc. into the unit.
