I think by the time I get to it it'll be bloody dry but maybe there will be traces if that the case.
Inside my FIP. You can see the wiper part that might need cleaning.

That's it, also the coil unit can get crap jammed between it and the axle that runs down into the pumps main bodyInside my FIP. You can see the wiper part that might need cleaning.
My fusion is fly by wire throttle and used to often drop into limp mode in the wet.My thought with the throttle pot is a worn track at the point where the pedal is fully up.
The reason I wonder about the throttle pot is due to a little test I did. If I increase the idle speed via diagnostics, it has no effect on the MIL light problem, however when I stuck a piece of card on the throttle stop, it raised the idle speed a tad like the diagnostics adjustment, but the MIL light stopped flashing. It's not a definitive test as the MIL light doesn't always flash on mine.It is a good point and I suppose it is the easier of the two to assess between that and the pump. I'm going to check the pump plug and the plug under the header tank for any Corrosion
Good call, as you say it isn't a common occurranceThe reason I wonder about the throttle pot is due to a little test I did.
